A Pilot Study for Treating CEC's in Wastewater: A Focus on PBDEs
SWSIL-2024-PilotSolCEC-1
This project will develop and pilot a new technological approach for removing Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) from municipal wastewater that combines fast-acting and degradation removal using renewable resources for a sustainable solution for Chemicals of Emerging Concern (CEC) pollutant. The project will engage Puget Sound stakeholders, including multiple wastewater treatment facilities, community groups and tribal nations that are actively involved in the improvement of regional salmon health.
