Clarks Creek Riparian and Uplands Planting Project on the Puyallup Tribe’s Hunting and Wildlife Department Property
TRI_0089
The riparian and uplands planting project of native vegetation and other varieties identified by the Pierce County Conservation District and the Tribe will provide riparian shade in an important salmon-bearing stream located on the Puyallup Reservation, provide a food base for salmon, and provide additional bank stability to reduce bank erosion. A target of 85% riparian shade on Clarks Creek was identified in the Clarks Creek Watershed Dissolved Oxygen and Sediment TMDL as a remedy to help address dissolved oxygen and sediment impairment.
