Upper Nisqually Ecosystem Service Incentives
WAT_0028
The Tribe will establish a framework for marketing the environmental and economic benefits that intact lands provide. This is intended to provide incentives to landowners to protect and restore forested lands. Potential buyers could be local salmon enhancement groups and utilities. The project focuses on the Mashel and Ohop Rivers. The Tribe will also establish a Community Forest with priorities closely integrated with restoration and protection needs.
