Skagit River Steelhead Recovery Plan Development
TRI_0127
SRSC will play key roles in coordinating and co-authoring a Steelhead Recovery Plan for the Skagit River Basin. This work plan is focused on supporting the continuing effort to develop and produce the technical basis, methods, analysis and collaboration necessary to generate a draft recovery strategy of the Skagit Steelhead Recovery Plan for submission to area wide stakeholders in early 2016. We intend to draft this recovery strategy as we establish agreement regarding the technical basis for achieving recovery goals. This strategy will be co-authored by local experts from WDFW, SRSC, USIT, SITC, SSIT and Seattle City Light (SCL) with along with regional input from scientists from NOAA fisheries, area Universities, Puget Sound Partnership (PSP), USFS and US Park Service. Others who wish to contribute to the scientific basis of our recovery strategy will also be included in this effort.
