Island County will upgrade their outdated onsite sewage system database in order to increase their ability to track and manage on-site sewer system within the county. This includes transferring and categorizing, by risk, over 4,000 on-site sewer system records. Year 2: Island County will improve compliance with Operation and Maintenance requirements through technical assistance and code enforcement, reduce the current county-wide inventory of failed systems by 15%, increase county-wide percentage of OSS current with inspections by 20% and achieve 38% of OSS current with inspections (currently 18%).
