Develop a Flow-through Zooplankton Imaging System
TRI_0016
This project will support the development of a flow through zooplankton imaging system to automate counting and measuring larvae in the different treatments. Once working in the laboratory, the Tribe will assess the feasibility of using the system in the open water to image larvae around water chemistry monitoring buoys. The imaging approach is line scan camera that takes a continuous image as something passes by, which will be larvae flowing down a tube. The technology is mainly used in manufacturing and inspection, but is beginning to be applied to biological research.
